After a visit to New Orleans in 1989 I started ordering a brand of coffee known mostly to residents of Louisiana. I really loved this coffee, but as they became more widely known the price went through the roof. I switched to another lesser known brand, still very good, but the same thing happened, as their popularity rose so did their prices. Enter Amazon brand. Is it as good as the others? No, but not enough better to justify the higher prices. The Amazon dark roast is a good cup of coffee and I look forward to it every morning, I just hope they don't decide that they are a boutique brand and double their prices.

Amazon offers awesome coffee. When I brew up a batch, both my wife and I agree that we enjoy the rich, smooth taste of this premium coffee. The 2lb bag is especially convenient; I do not like 12 oz bags. The coffee bag is well-sealed and should keep coffee fresh. I recommend that you keep the coffee in a sealed container because there is less mess when weighing out coffee for the pot.

This is a really nice coffee (Colombia medium roast beans) but it's next to impossible to open these bags. The glue is just way too strong. Of the last four bags that I've opened, three have shredded at the top. I hope Amazon fixes this problem.

My husband and I love this coffee. We are always searching for the most delicious coffee. We are fussy. We buy only beans and grind them ourselves. We use bottled water only for the brewing process. after many years we found we love this Amazon Fresh Colombian coffee beans in a medium roast. Last purchase was for 4 32oz. bags.

If you’re expecting a true light roast, this isn’t it. The beans have an oily surface, which usually points to a longer or hotter roast—characteristics more in line with medium to dark profiles.Flavor-wise, you get some dark chocolate and slightly burnt caramel notes. There’s little to no fruity acidity, and the aftertaste is nutty with a mild astringency. No real sweetness comes through. It’s not great for pour-over or drip, as it lacks brightness and complexity.That said, it does okay in espresso-based drinks where those deeper, roast-driven flavors can work better.The price is definitely a strong point—great value if you’re not too picky about roast level or are using it mainly for milk-based espresso drinks.

For Cost, quality and flavor, this coffee is EXCELLENT. Up until recently we had been drinking an Italian coffee brand. We decided to give this brand a try, seeing that it was $10 cheaper. To say we are impressed is an understatement. It may be my new favorite. It is smooth, the medium roast is delicious, and a perfect blend. Can’t say much about the caffeine content as I drink it more so just out of habit and enjoying the flavor. The amount you get for the price is a great deal as well. I will say I’m unsure that the bags are sealed very well, considering as soon as we open the box we can smell the coffee. However, the flavor is still up to par.

I love this coffee; the taste is amazing. I used a fine grind in my espresso machine, and the flavor was rich and well-balanced, delivering a smooth and satisfying cup every time. Quality beans and careful roasting went into this product. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a great espresso experience at home.

Have tried several of this brands origin varieties. The best for overall flavor complexity and a nice deep brown pour without being acidic is the Columbian (Orange bag).Recipe for best results: 25 Grams beans, medium grind, 8 cup setting on your brewer.
